The short version

What we keep, and why

Walking round floor 8

Your browser makes a random visitor key and keeps it, so that two tabs are one of you. We store it only in a scrambled form. While you're on floor 8, everyone there sees your name (Visitor until you give one), your look, and where you walk. That goes when you leave: within a few minutes of closing the tab. We also count, once a day, that a visitor came by, and the reactions you send (at most one an hour, each kind once a day), without a name, for the visitor board in the lobby; a visitor we haven't seen for 30 days is forgotten. If you visit on your own or just watch, nobody sees you and where you walk never leaves your browser (watching, you see the others). When floor 8 is full and you wait for the lift, we keep that scrambled key and when you joined the line, until you're up or a couple of minutes after you stop waiting.

Chat

When you reach floor 8 with others, your browser is signed in with an anonymous account: a random ID, no email, whether you chat or not (on your own or watching, only if you open the feedback box). We keep your chats (what you write, who with, and when, and the reactions you put on messages), your chat requests, and anyone you block or report. We keep them so the chat works and so we can deal with abuse. The studio may read chats on floor 8 for safety. A chat that's declined, unanswered for a day, or ends in a block is deleted, except that a report sends us its last 20 messages first. Some words are starred out for readers; what you wrote is kept as you wrote it.

The feedback box

What you leave in the feedback box by the lifts is kept as you wrote it, with the account you were in as (anonymous on floor 8). Feedback is read only by the studio. A review also keeps the rating (how many of which reaction), name and role you give, and you agree before sending it that the studio may publish it with them; it's read first, and only some are published.

Leaving your email

If you sign in with your email, we keep the email to sign you in, send your sign-in codes and reply to you. The front desk's project inquiry is a preview: nothing you type there reaches us yet, and only your name stays, in your browser.

In your browser only

Your look, your name, your visitor key, where you last stood (for an hour), day or night, and smooth mode are kept in your browser's storage, and your sign-in in a cookie. Looking round with your phone reads its motion sensors in the browser; nothing about them is sent anywhere.

Who sees it

How long

Where you walk: gone within a few minutes of leaving. Daily visit counts: 30 days after your last visit. Chats: until one of you declines or blocks, or we delete them, or you ask us to. Feedback and reviews: until we delete them, or you ask us to (a published review comes down too). Unanswered chat requests: a day. Reports: until we delete them. Accounts: until we delete them, or you ask us to.

Your rights

Under the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can ask to see what we keep about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Clearing your browser's storage removes what's kept there. To ask about anything else, write to us using the contact details on princereyes.com.

Children

Chat on floor 8 isn't for anyone under 13.
